Whatever you call it, racing in SoCal is not what it used to be. My family and I have been going to this track since the very first race and unfortunately the evolutionary growth of this speedway hasn't been positive.

Each year the PARKING is a huge pain as the Highway Patrol seems to be hell bent on sending East-bounders West and West-bounders East. And perhaps it's just a California thing, but we can't help but notice how Disneyland this speedway has become. They even have a Sea Lion experience outside of turn 4 - and wine tasting, sushi and a Wolfgang Puck restaurant - where will it end?

And finally the choice of race dates - bringing visitors to Southern California in late August (can you say 110 degrees?) and in February the weekend after Daytona (can you say FREEZING and RAIN?!?).

What are they thinnking? I can tell you what we're thinking - we're thinking we should try out some other tracks like Vegas or even Talladega in the 2009 season!
