The ASALMS Challenge Division presented by GM Performance Parts will make its debut at Salem Speedway for the running of The Trials 200. This event marks the second round of the ASA Late Model O’Reilly Triple Crown Series.
By partnering with O’Reilly Auto Parts, the ASA Late Model Series has offered a purse of $100,000 to any driver able to win the three races making up the Triple Crown schedule. Sean Murphy claimed victory in round one of the series which was held at O’Reilly Raceway Park in April. Round three of the Triple Crown is scheduled for the November 14-15, 2008 at Memphis Motorsports Park with the running of the O’Reilly Auto Parts King’s Ransom 300. Should no single driver be able to sweep the three events, plenty of incentive remains. Claiming victory in any two of the three events will still land a bonus of $10,000.
